Thai foreign affairs spokesperson Maratee Nalita Andamo says Bangkok is waiting for "sincere intent" from the Cambodian side to end the hostilities and says it is "ready" to engage in a ceasefire dialogue. The Southeast Asian neighbours have been locked in their bloodiest conflict in years over their disputed border, with at least 34 people confirmed killed and more than 200,000 displaced.
