The Super Mario Galaxy Movie is an animated film based on the world of Super Mario Bros., following the 2023 Super Mario Bros. Movie, which earned more than $1.3 billion worldwide. Both films are produced by Chris Meledandri of Illumination and Shigeru Miyamoto of Nintendo. The film will be co‑financed by Universal Pictures and Nintendo and released worldwide by Universal Pictures. It will be in theaters on April 1. Directed by Aaron Horvath and Michael Jelenic, the screenplay is by Matthew Fogel and the score by Brian Tyler.
