We will examine the concept of constant thrust in space and its impact on the achievable speeds of interplanetary and interstellar flight. It is shown that with continuous acceleration of approximately 1g, even relatively small thrust forces eventually lead to extreme speeds unattainable with impulse propulsion systems. The analysis is conducted within the framework of classical mechanics and special relativity, with an emphasis on the distinction between coordinate and proper velocities, as well as the relativistic limitations of accelerated motion. The physical limits of such thrust, the energy cost of acceleration, the requirements for engines and power sources, and the practical implications for future manned missions are discussed.
