Description:

Times are changing, but not always for the better. I don’t want to live like that; I have to fight. Let me stand alone against all, but I cannot do otherwise. Short film by Stanislav Schubert, "The Wall", Russia, Novosibirsk, 2004, depicts the fight against Nazism and totalitarianism as a social advertisement. The protagonist’s words express protest, unafraid of an imminent shot. The film was shot when I was 17 and has participated in the International Ultra Short Film Festival (ESF), winning prizes at many other festivals. Richard Strauss’s music, "Also sprach Zarathustra," accompanies the film. Its relevance endures because the problems it reflects are eternal: the struggle between good and evil, personality and system, youthful protest. The film gained some fame thanks to its bright style and my burly youthful voice. It is somewhat humorous, but there is a joke in every joke. So, people, be careful!
