Trump picks former Sydney councillor and “alpha male” to become a US ambassador

A former Sydney councillor and self‑confessed “alpha male” has been picked by Donald Trump to represent the US as ambassador to Malaysia. Nick Adams, a US citizen, was nominated but is still awaiting Senate confirmation. He is a self‑described “alpha male”, a fan of Hooters, and lost his council seat after being filmed abusing a reporter. He posted online that Trump bestowed upon him the honour of a lifetime.
