Vikram Phadnis: I don't like to make clothes that people can't wear and can't be sold

Vikram Phadnis says that none of the fashion shows he has done have been entirely Indian, but the one he is currently working on features a lot of silk and bright colours, heavy work, and minimal embroidery. He explains that he designs clothes so that people can wear them, like them, and feel comfortable, rather than focusing solely on creative flair.
