I got this very old flashlight with no batteries. How does it work? I wanted to know, so I took it apart to see inside. There are no batteries or capacitors in this dynamo flashlight. Instead, you squeeze a handle, which spins a mechanism and a dynamo. The dynamo generates electricity, which powers the light bulb. I believe it makes about 0.3 watts of power. Should I upgrade this flashlight to use a modern LED? Let me know!
