A strict director comrade Dynin and Chief Medical Officer are scared of an alleged epidemic. They believe that strict adherence to the daily routine, regular hand‑washing and the complete closure of the collective will prevent beneficiaries from the "terrible" scourge. The main threat is the local village boys, but pioneers are all uneasy. One of them, Kostya Inochkin, leaves the camp and communicates with the "contagious." Comrade Dynin takes a severe solution to eliminate Inochkin from the camp and sends him home. But if Kostya comes home early, his grandmother will surely have a heart attack. So he returns to the camp and becomes "illegal." Now Inochkin's friends must disrupt the Parents' Day to prevent his grandmother from finding out that Kostya is not among the children.
