Description:

The film, Leonid Bykov's directorial debut at Kyiv Film Studio in 1971, follows young musician Evgeny Kovalchuk who falls in love with aeroathlete Yulia. Yulia is hesitant to reciprocate, and the ambitious Doctor of Sciences Kresovsky, played by Bykov, also vies for her affection. The two men duel with rapiers, resulting in Kresovsky's injury, and the doctor's scheming leads to Evgeny's expulsion from the institute. The story, originally titled "Women Leave", was later renamed and incorporated footage from earlier aviation films. Despite its shortcomings noted by critics, the film remains a notable early work of Bykov.
