The UK 2nd Edition Nintendo DS game was released in 2008 as a follow‑up to the 1st Edition, and it was the last Nintendo‑exclusive Who Wants to Be a Millionaire video game. Unlike the 1st Edition DS game, this version is the only Millionaire game to use the 12‑question format that was used on the actual show, and it is only the second overall to do so, the other being the 10th Anniversary DVD game. No contestant ever won the top prize on the UK show with the 12‑question format; the best anyone achieved was £150,000.
