Fast-moving wildfires burn nearly 21,000 acres across northwestern Colorado

Firefighters are battling multiple lightning‑sparked wildfires in northwestern Colorado that have burned nearly 21,000 acres near Meeker. The Elk Fire has scorched 7,750 acres, and the Lee Fire—now merged with the Grease Fire—has spread across 13,025 acres.
