I Didn’t Know CAGED Could Unlock Scales Like THIS

Last week we tackled CAGED chords. Tonight we’re taking the next step — adding CAGED major and minor scales to the picture. We’ll explore the C major scale in five CAGED positions, the A minor scale in five CAGED positions, how these scale shapes double up as templates for modes, and how the same box pattern can sound completely different depending on the chord underneath. To make it real, we’ll apply everything to a I–V–vi–V progression (C–G–Am–G).
