In this work, we calculate the lower, crane-supported part of a column. We determine the compression force on a branch, modeling it as a centrally compressed rod, and select an appropriate cross-section from a cold-rolled U‑bar for a symmetrical column. We then examine the overall stability in and out of the frame plane, applying the principle of equal stability (equal flexibility), and design the wedges. Finally, we construct the joint between the upper and lower parts of the column and compute the crane-supported travers. The study was dated 01.11.2021.
