Lidia Kozlova was born in Moscow on November 19, 1937. Her childhood years coincided with the Great Patriotic War. After finishing school she entered a construction technical school, and later, together with classmates, went to build the Volga Hydroelectric Power Station. There Lidia met her future husband, Mikhail Tanich. After marriage, her hobby turned into a profession. She wrote her first song at 18, based on her husband's poems. Then a long pause of 20 years followed. One day Lidia Nikolaevna found herself wanting to write poems again. She claims that the creative atmosphere in their home, thanks to her husband, was the spark.
