The Lady Says No follows a woman who writes a best‑selling book warning women about the dangers of men. When a handsome photographer from a national magazine comes to her town to feature her story, romance and complications ensue. The film explores post‑war feminism, with the writer’s book causing a marital break‑up, but ultimately the photographer and writer reconcile, and a sergeant reunites with his wife.
