The UK 1st Edition of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire for PC was released in October 2000, making it the first European-based version and the fourth overall after the US 1st Edition, US Sports Edition, and US 2nd Edition. The game was later ported to PlayStation One and Sega Dreamcast, and it was popular enough that Eidos released versions in twelve other countries, including Ireland, Australia, France, Spain, Italy, Austria, Germany, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Japan. The Millionaires Club feature that appears when you win the Million Pounds was taken down in 2006, shortly before Eidos was acquired by Square Enix.
