Young Cypriots envision a future beyond the island's decades-long division. Informal discussions were held this spring under the auspices of the UN, in hopes of reigniting reunification talks between the Greek‑Cypriot‑led Republic of Cyprus in the south, and the Turkish Cypriot breakaway entity in the north. More talks are due in July.
