In the 19th June edition of the "Dienas ziņas" program, we discuss current events in Latvia, its regions, and worldwide. The Rīga City Council’s four parties signed a cooperation agreement, forming a coalition of the Progressive Party, National Union, New Unity, and the United List with 34 out of 60 votes. From tomorrow until 25th June, the State Police will conduct more frequent road checks. Eleven Latvian citizens who had previously left Israel have returned to Latvia. The Saeima has confirmed the appointment of former long‑term mayor of Salaspils and former minister Raimonds Čudars to the ministerial position. A concert in Old Riga has started the city’s opening events, which will continue in the coming days.
