4 Big UPI Changes Coming on August 1—What You Need to Know

Starting August 1, 2025, the NPCI is rolling out four major changes to UPI. Balance checks will be limited to 50 times per app daily. You can check which bank is linked to your mobile number up to 25 times per day. Autopay services like Netflix or SIPs will now process only during non-peak hours. Lastly, you’ll be allowed to check the status of a stuck transaction only 3 times, with at least 90 seconds between each attempt.
