Build from Source Llama.cpp with CUDA GPU Support and Run LLM Models Using Llama.cpp

In this machine learning and large language model tutorial, we explain how to compile and build the llama.cpp program with GPU support from source on Windows. For viewers unfamiliar with Llama.cpp, it is a program for running large language models (LLMs) locally, allowing you to run the model with a single command line. After building llama.cpp, we demonstrate how to run Microsoft’s Phi‑4 LLM. The main reason for building llama.cpp from scratch is that the binary version available online does not fully exploit GPU resources; by compiling from source with CUDA and C++ compilers, we ensure the program fully utilizes the GPU card.
