The Holy Synod elected Bishop Gorodetsky and Vetluzhsky on March 15, 2012. He was elevated to archimandrite on March 18 in the Church of Christ the Savior, and later consecrated as bishop on March 29 in the Church of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God. He was ordained by Patriarch Kirill and other bishops. On April 8 he was enthroned as bishop. He passed away on August 24, 2023, and was buried in Nizhny Novgorod.
