In February, our team mapped more than 1,200 km2 of the Suakin Deep in the Red Sea in collaboration with scientists from KAUST (King Abdulla University of Science and Technology). These data were essential for scientific exploration and dive planning. The mission sent Victor Vescovo with both Froukje van der Zwan (KAUST) and Mohammed A. Aljahdli (KAUST) down to a caldera and to explore the edge of the brine pool respectively.
