Iran, Mehriz County - چرا شاه عباس ۹۹۹ کاروانسرا ساخت؟

Mehriz County is famously called the City of Castles or City of Forts or the Garden City of Yazd Province. This county features a lot of historical relics and landmarks, dating back to the pre‑Islamic and Islamic era; it’s a tourist attraction of Yazd Province, Iran. Some landmarks and relics of this county include Khormiz Castle, Mehrpadin Castle, Sar Yazd, the Zein‑o‑Din Caravanserai (the only circular caravanserai in Iran), a Zoroastrian place of worship called Peere Naraki, the Pahlavanpour Garden, the Hasanabad Qanat and the art of stone crafting and stonemasonry of Mehriz, which we visited in this episode.
