Judge says case against Milwaukee judge who helped undocumented man evade arrest to continue

Dugan, 65, faces charges of concealing a person sought by immigration authorities and obstructing removal proceedings. Her lawyers argued she has judicial immunity, but the magistrate ruled that immunity does not extend to criminal charges, especially when the acts are alleged to be corrupt. The recommendation now goes to a U.S. District Judge for a final decision, ABC News has reported. Dugan, who has pleaded not guilty, remains suspended from her duties pending trial.
