NiGHTS Into Dreams: Part 5: Soft Museum

Here’s Claris’ third Dream, and the last one she has by herself: The Confusion. The Soft Museum is kinda confusing, but also it makes sense, as all of its surfaces you’d expect to be hard, solid and rigid are actually really soft and bouncy. When Claris lands on the ground, for example, the ground just sinks from her weight for a moment. When you use NiGHTS, you will also see how jiggly this level can get, as some setpieces involve launching and catapulting NiGHTS left and right from these rubbery buildings. This happens at Course 3 after NiGHTS is launched from a blue cannon and the perspective changes to a forwards view. Courses 2 & 4 will actually have you enter inside the Soft Museum itself, and it’s also just as bouncy as the outdoors terrain is. The boss of this level is a Nightmaren similar to NiGHTS themselves. His name is Jackle! Jackle mainly attacks with deadly cards, but he can only do this when he doesn’t have his cape, of which you can knock off of him. Just keep smacking him around while his cape is off, and you’ll eventually put him to sleep for good.
