簡介：

Journalist Miles Upshur arrives at the Mount Massive psychiatric hospital in search of a sensational story. He finds the facility unguarded, with all entrances sealed, and discovers a nightmarish scene of dismembered corpses and deranged patients roaming the corridors. Among the madness he encounters a priest named Martin who promotes a cult around the entity Walrider, former guard Chris Walker, a hulking mutant who hunts Upshur, and Dr. Richard Trager, a sadistic surgeon conducting cruel experiments. As he moves through the halls, Upshur learns that the hospital is a front for the Murkoff Corporation's research institute, conducting illegal experiments to create a new breed of superhumans. He later discovers a hidden laboratory beneath the hospital, where he encounters a dark, mist-like entity that kills Walker. Upshur meets Dr. Rudolf Vernik, who explains the Walrider project and the mysterious entity Bill, the sole survivor of the experiments. Vernik orders Upshur to kill Bill by cutting off the water and electricity supply to the containment capsule. After the job is done, Bill attacks Upshur, throwing him to a great height. Upshur breaks his leg and struggles to escape the lab, only to be shot by Vernik and his special forces at the exit.
