The Concert of Fyodor Shalyapin in the summer of 1918 (restoration)

We decided to restore and enhance a rare documentary filming of the concert of the famous Russian opera and chamber singer Fyodor Ivanovich Shalyapin (high bass), which took place in August 1918 in the city of Orekhovo‑Zuyevo (near Moscow). As dubbing, we used the old Russian romance song "Oh, if I could express it in sound" performed by the great bass. Music by Leonid Malashkin, lyrics by Grigory Lishin. The restoration removed all scratches from the original film tape, corrected the playback speed, and performed color correction. We hope you enjoy the result of our work.
