Recorded live at the Pavilion de Paris, France, on June 6, 1976. The Stones played six shows in France during that tour, four of which were in Paris; the other two were in Lyon and Nice. The video is a professional recording taken from the DVD "Aux Abattoirs" on the Trade Mark of Quality label and mixed with the audio from the CD titled "French Made" on the DOG n CAT Records label. The audio, although console-based, has the peculiarity that at times some instruments are more intense than others. An example of this is during Billy Preston's set, where his keyboard is heard in the foreground and almost nothing from the rest of the band. Regardless, the show is perfectly enjoyable. Originally, the sound was in mono, but I made a slight modification to make it sound in virtual stereo. Some of the songs from the Paris shows were used for the live album Love You Live, released on September 23, 1977. The songs "Hot Stuff," "Star Star," and "Brown Sugar" were used from this show, but the vocals were overdubbed on all of them. Portions of "Brown Sugar" (mixed with clips from other tour videos) appeared in the 1984 video "Rewind," featuring the original vocals. Unfortunately, I had to omit some of these songs due to copyright issues. The 1976 tour was Ron Wood's second tour as an official member of the Stones, having made his debut on the 1975 TOTA tour, although he was still a paid musician. Additional musicians on this tour included Ian Stewart on piano, Billy Preston on piano and keyboards, and Ollie E. Brown on percussion.
