Dramatic CCTV footage captured the moment two hooded and masked gunmen stormed a Sydney kebab shop in broad daylight, as passers‑by ran for their lives as three people were shot. Shoppers on the busy main drag in Auburn could be seen scattering and running for cover as shots rang out from inside M Brothers restaurant. Alleged underworld figure Samimjan Azari, a man believed to be his friend and a female staff member at the shop were all shot during the incident about 1.10pm on Monday. The footage shows the two gunmen, who remain on the run, fleeing the scene just moments after they entered the store. Staff at a nearby supermarket told news.com.au on Tuesday that the 50‑year‑old kebab shop worker injured in the shooting was a “very nice lady”.
