Deadly Russian shelling hits 32 Ukrainian towns

At least six people were killed and 30 injured in a series of Russian attacks across Ukraine within 24 hours, Ukrainian officials reported on Monday, July 14. Local authorities in the northeastern Sumy region said three of the fatalities occurred there, following more than 90 separate attacks on 32 towns and villages from Sunday evening into Monday morning. The Sumy Regional Military Administration said multiple communities across 14 municipalities were hit, as Russia intensified shelling in the area. Russia’s Ministry of Defense confirmed its forces had targeted the region, claiming they inflicted losses on Ukrainian troops and equipment.
