Larkin Poe performed at The Borderline in London on 24 May 2016. The band consisted of Rebecca Lovell on lead vocals and electric guitar, Megan Lovell on backing vocals and lapsteel guitar, Robby Handley on bass, and Marlon Patton on drums. Megan introduced "Hey Sinner" as a Southern gospel song, which then merged into "Black Betty", a traditional African‑American song made famous in 1977 by the rock band Ram Jam.
