Barrister Babu, the Indian drama that captivated audiences during its original run, is now available on YouTube with Turkish dubbing under the title Aşkın Kanunu. Set in the 1920s during British rule in India, the story follows Bondita Das, an energetic eight‑year‑old girl who defies traditional expectations, and Anirudh Roy Choudhary, a young lawyer returning to his hometown after studying in London. Bondita’s father wants her to marry an old man, but she writes a letter to Anirudh demanding two conditions for marriage: plenty of sweets and her mother’s presence. When Anirudh receives the letter, he decides to challenge the caste system and help Bondita break free from oppressive customs. After Bondita’s fiancé dies before the wedding, the village threatens to burn her and her family, but Anirudh intervenes, marries Bondita, and together they confront the village’s traditions while striving to create a better future for their community.
