DROR Light Machine Gun 2nd Pattern | 7,92x57 Mauser

The Dror light machine gun was an Israeli weapon based on the M1941 Johnson light machine gun. It was air‑cooled and recoil‑operated. The barrel featured a rotary bolt with multiple radial lugs. The Dror fired from an open bolt in full auto mode for better cooling, and from a closed bolt in semi‑auto mode for better accuracy. The Pattern 2 Dror, built by IMI, was chambered in 7.92×57 mm Mauser to utilize large quantities of recently imported Mauser ammunition. In this pattern, the magazines were mounted vertically under the receiver.
