Jeremiah Johnston explores the Shroud of Turin, arguing that it is the authentic burial shroud of Jesus. Beginning at 0:00, he explains what the Shroud is, then at 11:09 he presents historical evidence of Jesus’ crucifixion. At 16:33 he reviews scientific testing, and at 25:28 he details the gruesome aspects of crucifixion. He continues with the events leading up to the crucifixion at 40:26, the flagrum used to torture Jesus at 44:07, the appearance of the crown of thorns at 47:25, the origins of the Shroud at 51:50, and the face of Jesus at 58:39. Johnston rebuts claims that the Shroud was man‑made at 1:01:20, discusses why it is not on display at 1:13:48, the problems with carbon dating at 1:15:50, deliberate attempts to hide information at 1:16:47, and whether Dead Sea Scrolls information is hidden at 1:20:51. He concludes with potential future study at 1:28:19, the spear that stabbed Jesus at 1:28:48, and the intersection of history and Christianity at 1:30:09.
