Yet as parents, we should remember the Prophet’s teaching that a righteous child who prays for his parents is one of the deeds that continue after death. Therefore, we must prioritize the spiritual nourishment of our children, encouraging them to memorize the Quran, which enlightens hearts and minds, and to cultivate a soul that becomes fertile ground for knowledge to grow into beneficial trees. By praying for them and speaking good words, we support their growth and help raise the next generation of the Prophet’s ummah.
