In the Hand of Dante is an upcoming drama film that is directed by Julian Schnabel, written by Schnabel and Louise Kugelberg and based on the 2002 novel of the same name by Nick Tosches. It is based on a handwritten copy of the Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri that exists in the Vatican library, which gets into the possession of a mob boss in New York City, where it is stolen by Nick Tosches.
