'Madanolsavam' is a 1978 Malayalam film written and directed by N. Shankaran Nair, starring Kamal Haasan and Zarina Wahab. Dialogues were penned by Thoppil Bhasi, with comedy scenes by Adoor Bhasi. The film was dubbed into Tamil as 'Paruva Mazhai' and Hindi as 'Dil Ka Saath Dil'. It features evergreen songs such as 'Mada prave vaa', 'Sandye kanneerithende sandya', 'Mele Poomala', 'Ee Malarkanyakal', and 'Sagarame santhamaka nee'. Though credited to the director, the story is a remake of Erich Segal's Hollywood film 'Love Story', retaining some English dialogues from the original. Music was composed by Salil Chowdhury with lyrics by O.N.V. Kurup. The film was released on 26 January 1978.
