Since the beginning of 2025, inspections by Rospotrebnadzor and Rosselkhoznadzor in Russia have uncovered more than 111 tons of tea raw material and batches containing pesticides. These findings are widely cited by federal media, with brands such as "Zolotaya Chasha," "Beseda," "Russkaya Chaynaya Kompaniya," Tess, Greenfield, and others mentioned (the issue concerns specific batches, not the entire product range). Rospotrebnadzor clarified that out of 57,000 samples tested, only about 0.01% were non‑compliant, with problematic batches seized and producers issued directives. Producers, including the owner of Greenfield/Tess ("Orimi"), stated that no exceedances of pesticide residue limits were found in finished products on the Russian market in 2025.
